G.A.A. - Minor Football, on Wednesday of last week Clonakenny Moneygall played Upperchurch Drombane in the second round of the Mid Tipp Minor ‘B’ Football Championship. Clonakenny playing against a strong wind in the first half went in 3 points behind at half time, 7 points to 1-01. Clonakenny Moneygall got of to a great start in the second half with two quick goals and were in control from there to the finish and went on to win on a scoreline of Clonakenny Moneygall 4-08 Upperchurch 2-09. There final group game will take place on this Wednesday night against Drom in the Ragg at 7 p.m.

Intermediate Hurling - Clonakenny took on Drom and Inch on Thursday night last in their first game of the County Intermediate Hurling League. This game played in Clonakenny in dry but windy conditions saw Drom Inch dominate the play in the first half. Clonakenny showed some improvement in the second half but were defeated on a final score of Drom and Inch 3-14 Clonakenny 2-13.

Junior hurling - Clonakenny will play Thurles Gaels in the second round of the Mid Tipp Junior Hurling League Div. 3 on this Sunday in Clonakenny at 6 p.m.
