A great night for all is assured later this month when a fashion show in aid of the proposed new Moycarkey-Borris Community/Sports centre to be located in Ballybeg in Littleton will take place in the Horse & Jockey Hotel on Thursday September 29th next at 8pm.
Earlier this year the Parish Community/Sports Centre group secured planning permission for a new community/sports centre in the parish and after a very successful variety concert held in the Muintir Na Tire Hall last May the fashion show represents the Association’s second major fundraiser.
The event which will be run by Limerick based model agency Celia Holman Lee in conjunction with a local committee and will also feature a cheese and wine reception will see local as well as agency models modelling at the show.
Outfits from a number of the major boutiques in Thurles will be modelled on the night and they include Stakelum’s Fashions, First Editions, Paddy Stakelum’s, Marie Therse, Imps and Elf, Benetton, She, Footsteps, Moran’s and En Paris.
Tickets for the event cost €25 and all tickets purchased before September 22nd will be entered into a draw live on Tipp FM on the Fran Curry show from Thurles Shopping Centre where one lucky winner will be brought to the fashion show in a limo kindly sponsored by locally based Munster Limo’s. Tickets for the event can be purchased by contacting Mandy O’Dwyer: 087 2795399, Helen O’Sullivan 086 6888195 and Elaine Corcoran 087 9265724 or any committee member.
The committee also wish to extend their sincere thanks to Lisheen Mines and Express Print for helping to Sponsor the show.
The tendering process for the project was recently completed and it is hoped pending funding that building work on the complex will commence in the coming weeks. More information on the new community/sports centre as well as a futuristic image of the complex can be viewed at www.moycarkeycsc.ie .
