Apostolic Society: Lorrha Apostolic Society are holding a church gate collection on the week-end of Saturday 30th. April and Sunday 1st May in all three churches in the parish. Please be as generous as you can.

Development A.G.M.: Lorrha Development Association regret that they have had to postpone the A.G.M. which was planned for this week. The meeting will take place in the near future. Watch this space for details.
Summer Camp: Busy bodies summer camp will take place in Killeen N.S. starting July 4th for four weeks, finishing July 29th. Ages from 3 years up to 12 years. Starting time is 9.30a.m. to 3.00p.m. Please bring packed lunch. Family reductions, numbers limited so book early. Well Done: Congratulations is extended to Pakie O’Brien, The Pike, Rathcabbin who won the Longford open County loy digging championship recently. We wish Pakie the best of luck in the National event next September. Well done Pakie.
Reminder: The Annual General Meeting of St. Ruadhan’s Active Retirement Association will take place this Wednesday, 27th April at 2.30pm in St. Ruadhan’s Community Hall, Lorrha. It would be appreciated if as many members as possible attended. Some members have held various committee roles since the Association was formed and have worked extremely hard and now deserve a break.

Writers in Portumna: The Irish Writers’ Centre present authors John Connolly, Alex Barclay and Kevin Barry who will read from their thrillers/novels and discuss the art of reading and writing on Thursday May 5th in the Shannon Oaks Hotel at 7.30p.m. Admission 5 euro and all are welcome.
Gospel Choir: A concert featuring Galway’s Gospel Choir and Portumna’s Omna Singers will take place on Friday May 6th in St. Brigid’s Church, Portumna at 8.30p.m. All are welcome. Admission is 5 euro or a donation.
