Easter Ceremonies: The Easter Ceremonies were a joy to behold, and the whole community must be complemented for their participation and attendance and of course the choir as always were superb, not forgetting the altar servers and of course Fr. Coffey in making it all so meaningful.
Good to see : Fr. Rodgie Maher at all the ceremonies during Easter, and he was congratulated on his sixty-four years in the priesthood by Fr. Coffey, many more years of health Fr. Rodgie.
Congratulations: To Robbie Fitzgerald, Mauvaun and Orla Ryan T.H. Cappagh who announced their engagement last week, greeting and sincere wishes from all your friends. Well-done Orla on your parachute jump!
Social & Old Time Dancing: In the Resource Centre on Saturday 7th May. The music will be provided by Jimmy Connery. All proceeds go to Cappawhite Day-Care Centre.
Open Day: Cappawhite N.S. will have an open day in the school on Sunday 8th May. There will be a cake sale at 11.45 a.m; Sponsored walk at 12 noon; Family fun activities at 1.30 p.m. (face painting, penalty shoot-out, book and toy sale. The school will be open to all on this day to view the facilities. All community members are welcome.
Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa : Will speak at all Masses this weekend 30th April and 1st May. They will give first-hand information on the spreading of the Good News in Africa. You will have an opportunity to participate in this work by your prayer and financial contributions. Sr. Mary Ryan FMSA will speak and make a collection, use envelopes and distribute some literature.
Sympathy : To husband Danny and daughter Margaret of the late Martina Doyle, Powerstown who was a staunch member of I.C.A., Martins was interred on Easter Sunday. R.I.P.
