Thurles Town Council has embarked on an exciting new project for the heart of the town – a new Liberty Square for the 21st century!
Thurles Town Council has appointed environmental consultants URS Ireland to manage the refurbishment of Liberty Square.
“We want to hear your ideas, issues, concerns and hopes for the proposed refurbishment of Liberty Square,” says Michael Ryan, the Town Clerk.
URS Ireland will liaise with the public and develop a new design and layout for Liberty Square.
The first public consultation meeting will take place in The Source, Cathedral Street, Thurles, between 3pm and 8pm on July 30th and members from the local community and businesses are invited to attend.
“Thurles Town Council and the consultants from URS Ireland will be in The Source, Cathedral Street, Thurles from 3pm to 8pm on July 30th to answer your questions and you will have a chance to voice your ideas or concerns about the Square,” said a spokesperson for URS.
“We are at the very start of this process and therefore it is a great opportunity for you to really influence the future of the square which is at the heart of the town.”
