North Tipperary County Councillor John Kennedy (Labour) has called on the council to address the traffic problems at Leugh National School before an accident happens.
“ The pupil numbers attending the school have increased by more than 50% in recent years.
“The roads in the area are narrow and have several blind bends and with the increase in traffic it is necessary to have traffic calming measures and increased signage in this area.
It is hoped that this issue will be addressed as soon as possible,” said Cllr Kennedy, also a member of Thurles Town Council, this week.
The fabulous new extension to the school is to opened on Friday evening.
