G.A.A. Family Fun Day was held on Sunday last in the G.A.A. Field. What a great day it turned out to be, you had a barbeque, tug of war, bouncy castles, juvenile matches, camogie, face painting, boys and girls cupcake competition, many more side shows, and the weather was only beautiful.

A meeting was held on the 28th June to form a soccer club in the area. The decision was made to name the club Slieveardagh United A.F.C. The following committee was elected: Chairperson Billy O’Brien (Snr); Vice Chairperson Georgie Ivors; Secretary Billy O’Brien (Jnr); Treasurer Mick Kavanagh. As with all new clubs fundraising is a top priority and our fundraising will kick off with a Table Quiz in Websters Lounge, The Commons, on this Friday, 19th July. All support much appreciated.
