The 31 “Wonders Of Roscrea DVD” was launched on Sunday evening last in the Damer House, Roscrea.
The idea of the DVD is to promote the various wonders and features of Roscrea as an attraction for visitors and locals alike. Dom Laurence Walsh OSCO was guest speaker on the night and officially launched the DVD
which is available locally to buy. All support much appreciated. The organsing committee would like to thank Tipperary Leader Partnership for their support
in bringing this project to fruition.
Roscrea Athletic Club
Training continues outdoors on Mondays and Wednesdays at 7pm in the CBS field and costs just J1. If you want to run, jump or throw you are welcome to come along to training. New members are always welcome and membership fees for this year are now due. Also on Mondays and Wednesdays is their Fit 4 Life Programme which is designed to give people the opportunity to get fit and enjoy working/jogging. The emphasis is on improving fitness in a fun, social manner with no previous experience required. All ability levels arecatered for and you can exercise with others of a similar fitness level.
Congratulations to all the students on the completion of another year in the Parish Language School. A very special thanks to all the teachers who gave the gift of their time and professional knowledge to the work of the school and to Evelyn Hennessy for her dedication as Director.
Roscrea Musical Society
Congratulations to the musical society for their most enjoyable production of “Seven Brides For Seven Brothers”. People are already looking forward to the 74th production which will take place next year.
St Cronan’s National School Rosemount
St Cronan’s National School, Rosemount is enrolling for September 2013. Open afternoons will be held on Wednesday the 8th of May and Thursday 9th and Friday the 10th of May from 12pm to 2.30pm. Call in and view the school in action.
Killavilla Community Centre
The Annual General Meeting of the Killavilla Community Centre will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 8.30pm. New members will be most welcome and a good attendance would be appreciated.
The athletics competition will be hosted on Monday the 13th of May in the CBS field. The competition begins at under 8 and goes up to under 16 level. There will be fun runs and prizes for toddlers too. It costs just J2 per athlete and athletes an take part in two events for their entry fee. Please come out and enjoy a great evening of fun and sport.
