Christmas Lights 2012 - Following a countdown from 10, the beautiful lights came on when the remote control button was pressed, on Saturday December 8th following 7pm mass. Added this year is the Christmas Tree on the Cross which brought great enhancement to the village. Well done once again to all who brought this project to fruition, and organised the refreshments afterwards. A huge crowd turned out to witness the occasion. Fr. Quirke PP blessed the lights, which were then turned on by Santa Claus, who met the children and accepted their letters. Red bows were placed on the Xmas tree in remembrance of those who could not be with us this year. Bows are still available at a nominal fee. Any contributions will be welcome to help defray expenses on the night.
