The Thurles Fairtrade Group wishes to extend our Thanks and Best Wishes to all our Supporters for another positive year of activity in 2012. Despite the Recession, there are more Fairtrade products in the Thurles shops than ever before. Consumers still continue to buy their favourite and new brands of Fairtrade products.
These range from Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, Cotton, Footballs, Juices, Flowers, Chocolate and many more. Almost every shop in Thurles stocks Fairtrade products now.
On a recent visit to Thurles, Peter Gaynor of Fairtrade Mark Ireland congratulated the Thurles Fairtrade Town group for their commitment.
‘The Irish Fairtrade Towns Movement is 10 Years old this year. Thurles was one of the first Towns to gain status and has gone from strength to strength. The town has contributed greatly to the Movement and in the past gained the title of Ireland’s most creative Fairtrade Town. It was also instrumental in establishing the Tipperary Fairtrade movement. I wish you continued success in your work in the future and we in Head Office will continue to support your endeavours’.
May we wish all our supporters a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
