Christmas Ceremonies - The Abbey: Friday December 21st Penitential Service 8pm. Christmas Eve, Mass 7pm. Christmas Day Mass 9am and 11am, no 4pm Mass. Confessions Christmas Eve 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 6.30pm. Ballycahill Church: Christmas Eve Mass 8pm, Christmas Day Mass 10am. Confessions, Christmas Eve 7.15pm to 7.45pm.
Abbey Shop open for Christmas - Monday to Friday after 10.30 morning Mass until 12 noon. Open again 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Sunday after 11am mass for a short time and open again from 3pm to 5pm.
Sympathy - To Josephine Moynihan, Gleann Ri, on the recent death of her mother, Nora Costello, Stannix Home, Thurles and formerly Parkstown, Horse & Jockey. Sympathy also to Mary Maher, Sue Ryder House on the occasion of the death of her brother, Stephen Maher, Fethard.
Death of Patrick Wright (Fagen) - The recent death of Fagen Wright, as he was affectionally known, was received with much regret. Deceased was husband of Joan (nee Hayes, Beakstown) resided in Cabra. A native of Littleton his occupation was bus driver and he was well liked by all his passengers who found him courteous and helpful. He was a well known musician and a lover of music, song and dance. He was an accomplished player of many musical instruments. Peace to his kindly soul. To his wife Joan, son Patrick and daughter Emily we offer our sympathy. His remains were brought to the Abbey and after Requiem Mass was interred in the Abbey Cemetery. Many friends had travelled a distance and were among the congregation to bid him a last farewell.
Cabragh Wetlands - The Winter Solstice, a very special time this year will be celebrated on Friday night, December 21st at Cabragh Wetlands at 8pm. Admission Free – all welcome.
