We held our last meeting of the year on Wednesday, December 12th. Jim Troy gave a digital presentation featuring all the places of worship within the town.
Images taken from various angles in all the churches which also included two school churches. It included some architectural shots and a variety of coloured glass images. Some of the images viewed will form part of Jim’s contribution to the exhibition that will be on display later in 2013 at the Source Centre. The exhibition will be a joint effort by the Library and Thurles & District Camera Club which will feature historical & present day scenes of the town and its environs.
Neil Ryan then gave another digital presentation which featured winter scenes, sea/landscape shots and scenes from both Scotland and Wales.
The entries for our “Open” competition were then submitted at the meeting and any one with outstanding entries please contact the chairman re collection.
The evening was concluded with the serving of light refreshments
We wish all our members and their extended families every good wish and happiness for the festive season and that 2013 will be a prosperous & successful photographic one for all.
We will return to business on Wednesday, January 9th upon which we hope to see some images captured over the holiday period.
