A nonagenarian it was only in recent months that she became gravely ill, up to then she was in her usual good form. She was a lady of a very friendly disposition, she loved friends to call on her and when they did a Cead Mile Failte awaited them. She was a kind and ever thoughtful, a caring, gentle and helpful neighbour. She loved the old chat and to reminisce on by gone times. Kitty was a lady of great faith and belief, her religion was important to her. Her pastimes were simple however she enjoyed her cigarette right up to the end. Peace to her kindly soul. Her remains were brought to the Abbey and after Requiem mass celebrated by Fr. Celsus Tierney, C.C. Holycross and assisted by Canon Liam Ryan, P.P. Killenaule, she was interred in the Abbey Cemetery. Chief mourners were Tim & Gerry (sons), Mary, Kathleen & Nancy (daughters), sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and many relatives & friends.
