Social Dance - Ballingarry Community Centre will hold a Social Dance on Friday October 21st,Music will be by “Twice Shy”, Dancing from 9.30 until 12.30 and entry fee is €7 per person, Refreshments included,also spot prizes & raffle.If we receive good community support,we will continue to run dances on a regular basis. Senior Social Club - the October get together is on Thurs 20th in the Community Centre at 2.30pm. All are welcome to enjoy a game of bingo, afternoon tea and entertainment.
The Rosary - will be recited at the Statue of The Blessed Virgin Mary at the Clashduff mines on Sunday 23 Oct, immediately after 10.30am mass.

We are looking for anybody that would be interested in baking for us, or if you have any items of good quality that you would like to donate, or if you would be available to help out on the day. Flu vaccine - now available in Health Centre by appointment with practice nurse. The HSE recommends Flu vaccine for all those over 65 years as well as all pregnant women and for younger people with chronic illnesses. It is also recommended for people with close regular contact with pigs or poultry.”
Junior Football - Ballingarry bowed out of the Junior football championship at the Co. S/Final stage when they were beaten by Kildangan 1-8 to 0-6 at Holycross.
The Old School, The Commons - Two open days were held in the Old School on Sat. 15th and Sun. 16th of October last from 2pm to 6pm. Many people viewed the building and offered suggestions on how the school could be utilised to facilitate the community. All the comments about the restoration were very positive. If anyone has old photographs pertaining to the Old School we would appreciate if they could allow us to copy them and have them returned within a week in order to have them displayed in the school. Please drop these photos to Annie Heaphy or Margaret O’ Brien in The Commons. The official grand opening will take place at a later date,
Bothar 2011 - Bothar Ballingarry are accepting donations at the moment to buy breeding heifers for next year. Any donations gladly accepted and can be handed into sacristy.
Shoebox Appeal - The children in our four schools are again taking part in the Shoebox Appeal. Children will be encouraged to contribute to a box or two per class, share with a friend or fill a box per family. If you would like to fill a shoebox for a child this year it can be left into the sacristy until Sunday 30th October. For more info contact Marie 9154972.
