Variety Concert: In Marian Hall, Tipperary on Thursday 31st March. Adm is €10, all proceeds to St Vincent’s Day-Care.

Deepest Sympathy: To the Surlis family, on the death of dear Mam & Granny, Mary late of Tipperary Rd., Cappa to her daughter Bernadette, son Paul, son-in-law, brothers Jerry, Paddy & Michael, to her three grand-children who she cherished , to nieces, nephews, Uncle Willie, best friends Angela, Mary & Kitty and indeed her neighbours and extended family sincere sympathy to all. “May her dear soul rest in the boosom of the Lord”.

Girls Mini - Sevens Football: On Wednesday the 23rd of March, 10 girls from 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class went to a mini sevens blitz in C.lonulty organised by the class teacher, Mrs. Jacinta Coman. The teams in the blitz were Cappawhite, Thomastown and Clonoulty. Congratulations to Sinead Buckley for her tremendous effort and teamwork put into both matches led by a fantastic Captain Lauren Hayes. Well done also to a great goalie Aoife Walshe. In the first match Sinead scored an excellent goal lobbing it into the right hand corner of the net. After such great effort put into the match against Thomastown they lost the match. In the second match Sinead also scored another 2 tremendous goals vs. Clonoulty but then again the match was lost. Well Done Sinead. By Sarah Pollack.

Match against Thomastown:- This was the first match in the girls football mini sevens. The team was a class goal keeper Aoife Walsh and the backs were Sarah Pollock and Shauna Ryan and the midfielders were Lauren Hayes and Aisling Buckley and the forwards were Sinead Buckley and Margaret Collins O’Dwyer and the substitutes were Isabella Allen, Nicole McAndrew and Ann O’Donnell. 3 minutes into the game Lauren Hayes scored a point then Thomastown scored a goal. Margaret Collins O’Dwyer came off and Isabella Allen was put on. The whistle blew and we swapped sides. The referee threw up the ball and Cappawhite caught it but Thomastown got it off us and they scored a point. After a long enjoyable match the whixtle blew and game was over, Thomastown won but we played well and we were proud of ourselves. Well done to the Cappawhite team. By Lauren Hayes.

Cappawhite Vs Clonoulty:- Girls Mini Sevens Football:- It is Wednesday the 23rd of March, Cappawhite versus Clonoulty at the Clonoulty pitch. Both teams playing excellent in seven aside and seven minuts per half.. Cappawhite led by Captain Lauren Hayes were behind by two points at the end of the first half. Clonoulty 1 goal. Cappawhite 1 point. Not long into the second half when Sinead Buckley scored a class goal. Cappawhite were not in the lead by 1 point. Later on in the match Clonoulty scored a point, making it level. After a few minutes Margaret Collins O’Dwyer scored a great goal off the ground giving Cappawuite the lead, until Clonoulty got another point. Followed by yet another great goal by Sinead Buckley. Clonoulty came back scoring 5 points and a goal, a disappointing end for Cappawhite in a great sporting match. Final score Clonoulty 4 g 7 pts. Cappawhite 3g 2 pts. By Sinead Buckley
