Intermediate Hurling - On Friday night last Clonakenny travelled to Drombane to play Upperchurch Drombane in the first round of the Cahill Cup Senior Hurling Competition.

Intermediate Hurling - On Friday night last Clonakenny travelled to Drombane to play Upperchurch Drombane in the first round of the Cahill Cup Senior Hurling Competition.

Though losing the game the Clonakenny lads put in a very creditable performance with Upperchurch only gaining the upper had at the very end. This experience should stand to them for the championship games that are coming up. Final Score Upperchurch Drombane 1-18 Clonakenny 0-19. Clonakenny are due to play Ballybacon Grange in the second group game of the County Intermediate Hurling Championship. This game has been fixed for Wednesday, 29th May. Full details next week.

Junior Hurling - Clonakenny are due to play Moyne Templetuohy in the next round of the Mid Tipp Junior Hurling League Div 3. This game could take place this weekend. See Mid Fixtures.

Tipperary Draw - The Tipperary G.A.A. Draw for 2012/2013 has now ended all monies owed to be paid to Draw Co-Ordinator Oliver Mullally as soon as possible. The new Draw for 2013/2014 will be launched shortly and commence on the 17th May. Anyone who wishes to join the New Draw can do so by contacting any Club Officers or members. Clonakenny G.A.A. greatly appreciate the support of all its Draw Members and Co-Ordinators over the past year.

Sympathy - Sincere Sympathy is extended to Paddy Maher and family, Castlepark and Ann O’Meara and family, Shanacloon on the death of their brother Jimmy Maher in Trim, Co. Meath. Sympathy is also extended to the Walsh Family, Ballyknock on the death of Monsignor Lawrence Walsh who died in Texas, U.S.A. May They Rest in Peace.
