Appreciation - the Late Patricia Lawless

The death, which occurred on Friday 31st July last, of Patricia Lawless, (née McIntyre) of “Carraig Donn”, Clongour, Thurles, occasioned great sadness in the Cathedral Town and throughout its surrounds.

The death, which occurred on Friday 31st July last, of Patricia Lawless, (née McIntyre) of “Carraig Donn”, Clongour, Thurles, occasioned great sadness in the Cathedral Town and throughout its surrounds.

Mrs. Lawless, who was pre-deceased by her loving husband Paddy, beloved son Aidan and her triplet daughters, Patricia, Anne and Colette, died peacefully at home in the loving care of her family, following a short illness which was borne with great dignity.

A quiet and unassuming woman, she was devoted to her family and was a kind and caring neighbour and friend.

She will be greatly missed by her heartbroken family, her daughters Mary, Geraldine and Laura, sons Declan, Gabriel and Rae, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Paddy McIntyre and his wife Maura, brother-in-law Mogue Lawless, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Her remains reposed at Egan’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening, 2nd August, from 5pm to 8pm. Removal took place from her residence on Friday morning to the Cathedral of the Assumption. Following Requiem Mass interment took place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Large crowds attended both Egan’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening and the funeral Mass on Friday, bearing testament to the esteem in which the late Mrs. Lawless and her family are held within the community.

May she rest in eternal peace.
