Concert and Community Centre - A big thank you to all who took part in what turned out to be a very uplifting community sing-along event. To the organising committee, the singers, dancers, musicians, actors, children and Robo the dog, our heartfelt gratitude. Thanks also to Muintir na Tire for the use of the hall and to Pat Houlihan as M.C. who held the show together on the night. To all who purchased tickets or were present on the night, many thanks. The funds collected will help with the construction of the new sports and community centre which has now been granted planning permission by North Tipp. Co. Co. Currently tenders for the building of the centre are available through the e-tender process and it is hoped that the first sod will be turned by Sept. / Oct. 2011. As this is a parish wide project, representatives from the G.A.A., St. Kevins F.C. and Coolcroo A.C. have agreed to help the current Littleton Development Association committee in what is now a very critical and demanding phase of the project. Final thanks to Clr. Seamus Hanafin who attended our last meeting and has provided vital assistance with the current stage of the project. Tribute was paid to the late Clr. Harry Ryan who with Fr. Danny O’Gorman C.C. and many other volunteers have worked on the projects since June 2005.
