ENERGY PROJECT: The Drombane Upperchurch Energy Team’s Warmer Homes Survey is planned to commence this week on Wednesday 15th June. It is likely to continue for two weeks or thereabouts. The survey involves house to house calling to all homes in the parish, by members of the Energy team who are all locals and will be known. It is a community project being done on voluntary basis. The objective is to determine the energy status of houses in the parish; to raise awareness and provide information on grant schemes available to upgrade insulation of homes and to get indication of the potential for work in area.
This is the first such survey to be completed in a rural parish and analysis of results will not only be of significance to parishioners, but will be of high interest to Tipperary Energy Agency, Tipperary Institute and North Tipp Leader Partnership – all of whom are giving strong guidance and support to venture. This is to notify householders and request co-operation of all. The questions in survey relate to details of dwellinghouses and will take no more than minutes to complete.
