European Youth Week takes place from the 26h of May to the 2nd of June in all countries of the Youth In Action Programme to celebrate and promote youth activities. In Ireland, Youth Information Centres in association with Eurodesk are hosting a series of events during the week from a variety of locations.
The events being provided include:
European Voluntary Service (EVS) Info sessions: will offer young people an opportunity to find out how they could get involved; tell them about the application processes and potential opportunities available. Tipperary Regional Youth Service are running an EVS info Session on Wednesday 29th
European Table Quizzes: A chance to test your knowledge of European issues.
Multi-cultural Nights: will provide an opportunity to learn more about a variety of cultures that exist in Europe today. The event will be centred on an enjoyable party atmosphere with accompanying entertainment and music and food.
European Soapbox: Tipperary Regional Youth Service will be running a soapbox competition on the theme “Irish young people are active Europeans” the event will take place on Thursday 30thMay, if you are interested please contact Tipperary Regional Youth Service for an application form no later than 22nd.
Photography competition & exhibit: the theme of this year’s photography competition was “Be Involved”. Tipperary Regional Youth Service will hold an exhibition in Thurles Library at 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th May and the winner will be presented with their prize.
