At 1.30pm there is the recitation of the Rosary followed by the Stations of the Cross, the anointing of the sick and concluding with concelebrated Mass at 3pm (note there is no 4pm Mass as is usual in the Abbey every other Sunday). The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available during the ceremony. Helpers needed on this St. Pio’s Pilgrimage Sunday. To facilitate the many pilgrims on the day many helpers are needed. Our priests kindly request as many as can come to help with the stewarding, clerical staff, shop assistants and catering. It is essential to have a good number of Eucharistic Ministers. With the help of parishioners the smooth running of this prayerful event is assured. Teas etc., served over the Abbey Shop and in the Community Centre. The hostesses in the Community Hall will appreciate donations of Confectionery which may be left in the Community Hall on Saturday night between 7.30pm-9pm or Sunday morning.
