Badminton Cup Win

Templemore was well represented in 4 out of a possible 6 cup finals last week with our 6th division team achieving success after a keenly fought battle against near neighbours Drom. Locked on 3 games each, the winning of one extra set ensured a well deserved victory. The team was Captain Joe Keating, Eamon Joyce, Lyndon Fairbrother, (subbing for Pat Malone) Catriona Fogarty, Sorcha Murphy and Sandra Russell, (subbing for Grainne O Brien ). Despite strong performances our other teams weren’t quite so lucky, with 5th beaten on a countdown of overall points, 2nd on final mixed games and 4th also narrowly beaten.

We extend sympathy to Grainne and Kieran on the recent sad death of Grainne’s mother.

The league schedule resumed this week with quite an extensive fixture list to complete.
