Workshop - A Parenting Workshop will take place on Saturday, 23rd March in the Source Arts centre, Thurles from 10am-1pm.
The workshop is called “Parenting 2-5yr old’s”. It will be looking at issues related to 2-5yr old’s, it also will have an experiential part to the workshop looking at how we can use play to enhance and develop closer relationships with our children so they can grow in confidence. All-Ireland Drama Final - The local Drama Group are now assured of contesting the All-Ireland Drama Festival in Rossmore, Co. Cork as a result of their winning three festivals. They had competed in five Festivals but still await the results from two. Not alone did their play ‘God of Carnage’ take first place in Kildare, Castleisland & Gorey Festivals but their Director Pat McGrath was acclaimed best Director, Derek O’Doherty, Best Actor and Jacquie Lacey, Best Actress in each of the three Festivals and Salome Hennessy was judged ‘Best Supporting Actress’. 1st also for Best Lighting (Marty O’Neill). The play ‘God of Carnage’ was also judged the most entertaining play and their set (Catherine Lowry) was awarded the best in the three festivals. They are to be congratulated on their wonderful achievement. Those involved have ‘done us proud’. To show your appreciation you will have the opportunity of supporting the Holycross-Ballycahill Drama Group when they open the Co. Tipperary nine day festival on this Friday night, March 15th at 8 p.m. with their winning play ‘God of Carnage’, a most entertaining play which should be enjoyed by all.
Holycross-Ballycahill Football Club - The Club are in need of funds and are holding a Church Gate collection both in Holycross and Ballycahill on this Saturday night and Sunday, March 16th and 17th before all Masses. Your financial support will be much appreciated.
Voice of Ireland - Competing in ‘The Voice of Ireland’ programme on RTE 1 is Jennifer Moore, Dungarvan, whose grandfather Eddie Moore is a native of Bohernacrusha, her Grand-uncle Jimmy Moore resides in Bohernacrusha and her Grand-aunt Maureen Nally resides in Killeenyarda. Jennifer’s beautiful singing has won her a place on the live shows, the first of which will be screened next Sunday night at 6.30 p.m. Parishioners and many friends will have the opportunity in casting their vote for Jennifer so don’t forget to tune in to RTE on Sunday.
