Killavilla Community Centre will present a Fundraising Concert in Racket Hall Roscrea on Friday the 19th October at 8.p.m. The concert will feature Paul Cunningham, Scotland’s No1 Magician, plus numerous artists. Admission is €10 and proceeds will go towards the new extension to the Community Centre.
Roscrea Tennis Club
For those who would like to start playing tennis or wish to come back to tennis – you do so by signing up in the club house or contact Vivenne Crawford on (087)2161689.
Ladies Doubles Autumn tournament will start in the next couple of weeks so keep an eye on the notice board in the club house.
Roscrea Lions Club Drama Festival:
Date for your Diary - Roscrea Lions Club are running a Drama Festival for One Act Plays in the Abbey Hall on November 22 ,23 and 24 . Local Groups are participating and a great Festival is guaranteed.
Roscrea Autumn Conference
The Roscrea Autumn Conference, which will be the 51st Consecutive Conference, will be held at Mount St Joseph’s Abbey from Friday 2nd November to Sunday 4th November inclusive. The theme of this Years much anticipated event is the “Annals of Ireland” and the weekend will feature a host of learned speakers on a diverse range of subjects from the extremes of weather in Ireland from the 5th to the 17th centuries to an intriguing presentation entitled “Who are the people remembered/Recorded in the Early Irish Annuals?. A small group meet in the Legion Hall every Wednesday morning at 10:30am to reflect on the readings for the following Sunday. All are welcome to attend.
Roscrea Musical Society - Book
Roscrea Musical Society are thrilled and excited to announce that we are undertaking a new Project this year. We are delighted for the first time ever to be putting together a New Book based on the life of Roscrea Musical Society. We are looking for more information . Photos , Paper Clippings , programs, etc - especially Photos from the 1940’s and the 1950’s- anyone who may have been in any of the shows over the years or indeed anyone who knows people who were involved, friends, neighbors etc. We are hoping to launch this great book during our production of ‘’ Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’’ which will be staged (Copyrights to perform Pending) in April 2013 - So we have to get cracking, time is of the essence, so if you have any paraphernalia that might be of interest please contact any committee member of Roscrea Musical Society or you can e - mail us information, photos etc, to : roscreamusicalsocietybook@gmail.com . We will be only too happy to get back to you , or collect whatever information, material you may have from you.
Wacky Wednesday Art
Wacky Wednesday Art with Aisling takes place in the Kickback Youth Cafe every
Wednesday from 2.p.m to 3p.m. for ages 9-12 years. Booking is essential for each class
and can be arranged by calling into the Cafe or by ringing (0505) 24462.
Farmers Vegetable Market
The Farmers Vegetable Market takes place every Friday from 9a.m to 6p.m. in the Auburn
Lounge car-park in Roscrea.
Sports Ability
The Sports Ability Club is a group for children and teenagers with a disability. The club
meets every Friday evening from 7.30 p.m to 8.30p.m and new members are always

Visitation
Visitation of the sick, whether in their homes or in hospital, is part of a priest’s work. If there is anyone sick, housebound or hospitalised who would like a visit from a priest, please contact the Parish Office at (0505) 31835.

Meetings of the newly formed Gamblers Anonymous group in Roscrea will be held in the Legion hall, Church grounds on Friday nights at 8.30p.m
