Heritage Week - In conjunction with Heritage week from Sat 18th August to Sunday 26th August, Cloughjordan Heritage Group have organised three events.

On Sat 18th August a professional genealogist will give a lecture on how to trace your roots in the G.A.A clubroom at 11am. Also on Sat 18th Aug an environmental heritage walk will take place at Cloughjordan railway station at 2.30pm. On Sunday 19th a traditional skills demonstration featuring spinning, felt making, drystone walling and herbcraft will take place at Django’s hostel from 2pm to 6pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and all events are free.

Minor Football - Tipperary minor footballers were beaten last Saturday by Mayo in the All-Ireland quarter final. Tipperary, the reigning All-Ireland champions never played to their potential in this game. Kilruane MacDonaghs mentor Pat Murphy was a selector with the Tipperary side and it was a great achievement for Tipperary to win an All-Ireland and two Munster titles in the last two years.
