We the Committee of Chernobyl Lifeline Roscrea are committed and always have been committed to bringing in Children from the affected areas of the Chernobyl disaster to Roscrea and the surrounding areas for a holiday. This Holiday adds years to their lives by giving them much needed nourishment, medical attention and indeed good clean fresh air. We have brought in approx 100 Children per year for the last number of years and hopefully with your help will continue to do so.
Due to new regulations with the Belarusian Government and the signing of the present agreement between the Russian and Irish Governments as well as the withdrawal of direct flights from Minsk to Shannon, by Belavia Airlines- it has become extremely difficult to organise bringing children from Belarus to our area. With this in mind we have to work very fast this year to get names of both repeat Children and new children who will come to Roscrea and the surrounding areas.
If anyone is interested in bringing back a repeat child/children or if there is any family who would like to host a Child for Christmas this year, can you please contact me in writing or by e-mail : firstname.lastname@example.org with your Name, Address, Phone Number, and if it’s a repeat child, the child’s name, address and phone number in Belarus. I will in turn send you out the relevant forms by return. Please send to: Andrew Walsh, Secretary, Chernobyl Lifeline, Derrymore, Roscrea.
The Dates we are hoping to bring in Children this Christmas is from 14th December 2011 to 4th January 2012
It is very important that we work on this project as soon as possible so as not to disappoint the children who hope to come over for Christmas, so please can you send your details by return.
For further information, please contact: Chairman, Henry Deane 087 2659022, Treasurer John Hastings 086 2546403 or Secretary Andrew Walsh 087 6781575.
We would like to thank you all so very much for your continued support.
