Guided walk from Golden to Cashel

South Tipperary Tourism Company invites you to come on a guided walk from Golden to the Rock of Cashel along the Tipperary Heritage Way.

Enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the pastural farmlands along the banks of the River Suir while experiencing the rich natural and cultural heritage of the area culminating with Hore Abbey and the outstanding St Patricks Rock of Cashel. The walk is part of our series showcasing the Tipperary 10 walking experience and proceeds will be used for the promotion and development of walks within the County.

Route: Tipperary Heritage Way, Golden to Cashel

Theme: Locally based Archaeologist Joanne Hughes will give a talk on the heritage of the area.

Date and Time: Friday 14th of June at 6pm. Registration from 5.30pm.

Meeting Point: Car Park at O’Briens Holiday Lodge, Dundrum Road, Cashel. Bus will leave for Golden at 6pm.

Walk Length/duration: 10km/ 2.5 hours

Minimum Gear: Trekking shoes, raingear and fluids

Grade: Easy

Refreshments: Refreshments will be served after the walk at O’Briens.
