Referee: John Ryan Bob

Holycross backs battled bravely but Caroline Brown, Alannah Deering, Clara McGrath and Eva Duggan all found the back of the Holycross net notching up scores for St. Mary’s Nenagh to the delight of their supporters in the stand. Holycross responded well with a very accurate long range shot from Clare McGrath followed by Brooke Slattery rattling the back of St. Mary’s goal. St. Mary’s set the pace with Caroline Brown, who would be St. Mary’s top scorer, outwitted the Holycross defence to notch up a score of 1-1 in the opening minutes of the second half. This score line was answered by Holycross and a strong commitment from their backline to work the ball up the field to both Gemma Dwyer, 0-1, and Katie Ryan, 1-0, to keep Holycross in the game. Unfortunately for Holycross, St. Mary’s were able to answer these magnificent scores with their own from Alannah Deering and Rachel O’Connor with a goal apiece.
