He was a retired teacher, too young to die, he excelled as a teacher and sports director. He is a sad loss to the community and will be always remembered by his gentle nature. Reposing was at his residence. Removal took place to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow. On Tuesday, 4th June Concelebrated Requiem Mass was celebrated followed by burial in Durrow Cemetery. May his noble soul rest in peace.

Cycling Club - On Thursday evening, 30th May the Ossory Cycling Club hosted an Inter Club Race. It started from the Square in Rathdowney at 7pm and about 60 cyclists made the journey down Conoboro Road to Coolfin Cross on to Donaghmore and back to Rathdowney. They were a wonderful sight to see on the road and many spectators were inside their gates watching the race. They did four laps of this course and had all completed just after 9pm. The Ossory Cycling Club are a credit to the parish. They are a great happy team and do lots of cycling for charity. We wish them well and look forward to their next club race.

Revived - On Sunday, 2nd June we were all delighted to see the Corpus Christi Procession revived in the town. The Procession took off from the Church of the Holy Trinity up to Quigley Park where Benediction was held. The children who made their First Holy Communion were thrilled to be all dressed up again. We thank God to see the old customs of our parish revived and the wonderful organisers.
