Ardmayle Heritage Society – Proposed calendar of events to mark the Year of the Gathering, Thursday 15th August - 20th August. Thursday 15th of August, 7pm Annual Mass at Ardmayle Cemetery, followed by official opening of Gathering Weekend by Fr. Joe Egan PP. 8pm: Welcome refreshments in Ardmayle Church with ‘Cuardaíocht’, story-telling and folklore.

Friday 16th of August, 8pm: “Come walk with me along the road”, local speakers will relate of life past and present along roads on the Western side of the River Suir. Saturday 17th of August, 3pm - 5pm: Genealogy Workshop in Ardmayle Church with Cecile Mulcahy, local genealogist. A walking tour of Ardmayle and the Cemetery will also take place. 8pm “Come walk with me along the road”, local speakers will relate of life past and present along the roads on the Eastern side of the River Suir. Sunday 18th of August, 12.30pm: Planting of tree and unveiling of plaque in Ardmayle in remembrance of the people who left the area over the centuries. This will be followed by a walk along the Mass Path to Boherlahan. 2pm: Celebratory Mass at Boherlahan with the Parish Choir to conclude the occasion. All Events will be followed by refreshments and all are most welcome to join in this parish event to mark the Year of the Gathering.

The annual Ardmayle Heritage Society outing will be to Clonmel and St. Patrick’s Well this year on Saturday, 13th July. More details later. 
St. John’s Eve Bonfire - Will be held in the churchyard in Ardmayle on Sunday, 23rd June at 7.30pm. All are welcome to partake in this ancient and centuries old custom of jumping the fire and celebrating midsummer. There will be the usual refreshments.

Boherlahan Dualla Historical Journal - Outstanding articles for this year’s journal are now due. Please forward your article to Paddy O’Dwyer immediately. Also, if you have any photographs for the journal, contact Paddy or any member of the Society.


Parish Sports - This Thursday, 13th June commencing at 6.30pm in Boherlahan G.A.A. field. There are twenty five field events plus novelty races. This is a great community event and a wonderful family evening.


Fundraising Coffee Morning & Cake Sale - This Thursday, 13th June at the home of Mairead Power, Dualla. From 11am to 3pm in aid of the Pallottine Missions. All support greatly appreciated.


U/12 Camogie - Our U/12 camogie girls were out in the Ragg last Saturday in the County ‘C’ Plate semi-final against Fethard. They won well with a score-line of 5-4 to 1-2. The final is provisionally booked for this coming Saturday in the Ragg against Knockavilla at 1pm. Please come along and support the girls! Team: Sophie O’Shea, Niamh O’Dwyer, Clare Delaney, Sarah Wade, Ciara Dwan, Aoife Lenihan, Leah Kavanagh, Ellie Ryan, Clare Canny, Kate Ryan, Ciara Mulcaire, Kate Maher, Cora O’Shea, Anna Ryan.


U/14B Football - Congrats to our U/14 girls on capturing another county final title last Monday evening in Ballycahill where they played Thurles Sarsfields. They certainly are on a winning streak at the moment and huge thanks to mentors Rosie Gahan, Mary Hickey, TJ O’Dwyer and Michael Lahart. 
St. Isidore’s N.S. - Huge congratulations to St. Isidore’s National School and their fantastic camogie teams who won the U/11 Roinn ‘A’ county final and the U/13 Roinn ‘B’ county final which were held in Semple Stadium last Thursday and Friday. Well done to all teachers involved. There is no stopping the girls this year. Well done girls keep it up!


Fundraiser - Dualla N.S. Parents Association will hold a Table Quiz fundraiser on Friday, June 21st in the Community Hall, Dualla at 7.30pm sharp.

Tables of 4 are €20 for adults and €10 for a children’s table. Children must be accompanied to the quiz by their parents. All families are asked to please support this fundraiser which will help the parents association to continue to meet its expenses. A raffle will also take place for some excellent prizes. Refreshments on the night. Come along to this lovely worthwhile social event. Maria Gleeson (Chairperson), Joan Kennedy (Secretary), Ann Coffey (Treasurer).


Little Flower N.S. Parents Association Fundraiser - Please bring in unwanted textiles (clothes, paired shoes, hats, scarves, handbags, curtains, bed linen) and mobile phones to the school during school hours. Last collection is Monday, 17th June. A donation from the total will also be made to the I.S.P.C.C.


Baptism Masses of Rejoicing - Will take place at Dualla Mass on this Saturday, 15th June at 6.30pm and at Boherlahan Mass on this Sunday, 16th June at 11am.


Zumba Classes - Continue in Dualla Hall on Monday, 20th June at 7.30pm. Please come along. Great fun and guaranteed enjoyable work-out for 6 euro.

Fun Day - Gaile National School and Bright Star Pre-School are holding their second annual Barbeque and Fun Day at the school grounds next Sunday from 2 to 5pm. Admission is free and open to everybody.
