I am a native of Kildare and by chance found myself at your Mid Senior Football final on 26th August in Templetuohy. It was a most enjoyable game played in a sporting manner between Loughmore and J.K. Brackens. The condition of the field was a credit to the host Club with the involvement of young players from both sides at the start and interval adding a nice touch to proceedings. However, I must express one disappointment and that was the “Man of the Match” award. I was surprised as were many of the people present that the recipient of the award was not J.K. Bracken’s outstanding 16 year old Colin O’Riordan.
