Larger Power Station for Dualla Wind Farm?

A MAJOR windfarm proposed for Dualla that has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala, may be extended with a more powerful substation once the development is completed, heard a meeting of South Tipperary County Council.

A MAJOR windfarm proposed for Dualla that has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala, may be extended with a more powerful substation once the development is completed, heard a meeting of South Tipperary County Council.

Cllr Louise McLoughlin, who would live close by to the planned windfarm in Brickendown, Dualla, requested the County Manager to clarify what the current status is of the County Council’s report on the matter.

Bord Gáis Energy is proposing the construction of a new 110kV Substation at Brickendown, Dualla, Cashel, to cater for a permitted windfarm of 16 turbines. The matter was appealed to An Bord Pleanála on December 12th. The case is due to be decided by June 21st.
