Zumba - Are you ready to dance yourself into shape? Zumba Dance Classes commencing in Ballingarry Community Centre on Wed 15th Feb at 9 o’clock. €8 per class. Anybody interested in joining is asked to be in the Community Centre for 8.45 pm for registration. No experience necessary so come along and have some fun while getting into shape. All welcome.

Important Meeting on proposed Charges - Mattie McGrath TD is organising a Public Meeting for all householders in relation to The Government’s proposed Septic Tank and associated charges in Jimmy Maher’s Bar, Ballingarry on Thursday 9th February at 8:15pm. Please attend and bring a friend and give your opinion. All are welcome.

Sincere Sympathy - We extend our sincere sympathy to Donal Kealy, Boulea / Knockinglass, on the death of his brother, Martin, in Terenure, Dublin, last week. Following Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning, he was laid to rest in Bohernabreena Cemetery beside his late wife, Anna (nee Cormack). “Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis”.

Ballingarry GAA - Management for Senior Hurling Team for 2012 will be – Willie Hayes (Manager); Don Lyons & Kevin Shelly. We wish them the best for the coming year.

Ballingarry G.A.A. Games - The club had it’s first competitive match on Saturday last in round 1 of U/21B Football, which resulted in a noteworthy win for Ballingarry over Carrick Swan 3-6 to 2-6 at Ned Hall Park, Clonmel. Round 2 is set for Sun. 12 Feb. at Monroe at 3.30 pm against Kilsheelan-Kilcash. Round 1 of the Minor football league is also fixed for Sunday next at 12.00 noon at O’Sullivan Park, Ballingarry v Cahir.

Folk Group - Folk group meets every Monday night in the sacristy meeting room at 8.30 pm. All members are asked to attend. New members welcome.

Baptism January - We welcome into our Christian Community Niall Conor & Sadie Margaret. Congratulations to their parents Noel & Sinéad and Kenneth & Marie.

Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and World Day of prayer for the sick - A 3 Hours Vigil will be held in the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Saturday February 11th, Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes and World Day of prayer for the sick. It will commence at 7.30p.m. with usual Vigil Mass.

“St Joseph’s N.S. - will hold a  “Used Clothing/Mobile Phone Collection” in the school on Friday 10th February. This is your chance for a New Year Clean Out!  All mens, womens, childrens, used clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, ties, linen. etc in any condition once they are clean.  All welcome to drop bags into the school from Monday 6th Feb to Friday 10th Feb before 9.30am. We also collect used ink cartridges.

Hip Hop Dance classes - will continue in Ballingarry Community Centre at 11 am on Saturday. All kids of all age groups welcome. Classes are for boys and girls. The cost will be €5 per class. For further information contact 087-2444819.

Old School House The Commons - Adult Set Dancing Classes take place in the School on Mon nights from 8.30-10pm

Teenage classes will commence in a few weeks time. Step dancing continues in the School on Fri nights from 5-6.15pm. A challenging card game of 25’s and 31’s continues on Friday nights from 8-11pm.
