Note From Canon Dunphy - As your P.P. for over 18 years, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for your help and co-operation during those years. During that time, with your help, we have grown up together and come closer together under God’s protection through the joys and sorrows of life. In spiritual matters I have shared with you the joys of God’s presence among us through the Sacraments you received through my administration of them and our prayers of devotion together. I was happy so share special family celebration days with you, whether it was a christening, a wedding or an anniversary celebration of a special event in your life. There were also those sad occasions when I hope I brought some consolation to you at the time of a sad bereavement. These are all the challenging times in our life when our trust in God will stand by us. I retire now as your Parish Priest with my new house of residence at Borrisbeg Bungalow. I know you will give the same help and co-operation to your new Parish Priest, Fr. Ollie Maher. From now on he is in charge of all the parish administration. If needs be, I will be available for emergency calls. I conclude by wishing God’s every Blessing on all of you – Rev. Laurence Dunphy P.P. Canon Dunphy was given a standing ovation after all his Masses last weekend.
