Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Party - Our Party will take place on Sunday, November 27th. This year we are returning to Golden Community Centre for the party. Please note the time has changed this year. The party will commence with Mass at 2 p.m. dinner at 3 p.m. followed by dancing and entertainment to 7 p.m. It is very important if you are attending to give your name to any member of the committee on or before Tuesday 22nd.
Meals on Wheels - Meals on Wheels would like to thank everyone who contributed so generously to their recent church gate collection. Total collected was 603.35 euro.

Golden National School - The Parents Association are holding a Craft Fair / Coffee Morning on Sunday, December 4th at 11.30 a.m. There will be a kids corner on the day. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
Golden N.S. - 2012 will mark the 75th anniversary of the current National School building in Golden. To mark the occasion Eoin Morrissey, Principal of Golden N.S. with the help of some local historians is compiling a book “History of Golden N.S.”. It is hoped to have this ready by Summer 2012. Juvenile G.A.A. - The U/13 West/South Hurling final between Golden/Kilfeacle and St Marys due to be played this week will now be played in Spring 2012.
Thomastown National School - Well done to Thomastown U/13 Boys football team who beat Moyne N.S. in the County Semi-final last Monday in Littleton on a score line of 5-9 to 2-4. It was a tight game with wonderful football being played by both teams. Thomastown dug deep in the second half to pull off a great victory. They will play Corville (Roscrea) in the County final at the Ragg shortly. The team is as follows Adam Mc Grath (Capt), Brian Barlow, Martin Ryan, Tony Byron, Niall Heffernan, Lorcan O’Dwyer, Andy Byrnes, Shane Farrell. Subs used were Kevin Hally, Christopher Farrell, Alex Ryan and Richie Crowe.
Golden/Kilfeacle Dramatic Society - There is now less than three weeks to go until the Golden-Kilfeacle Dramatic Society stage their first venture in the community Hall Golden on Saturday, Dec 10th. The night will be comprised of a one act play in the first half and a variety show which will showcase some exceptional local talent in the second half. Mark this date in your diary as it is sure to be a very enjoyable night.
