Bereavement: The death occurred of James (Tom) Hayes, Gurteen, on Friday 22nd April, 2011. Removal took place from Egans Funeral Home, Thurles on Thursday 28th April to Ss Patrick and Oliver Church Glengoole.  Requiem Mass was on Friday followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Tom is deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces relatives, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

Annual Mass for all sitting Public Exams: A warm welcome is extended to all those doing public examinations this year, to their families and friends to the Mass in Glengoole on this Sunday May 8th at 10.00. A sincere invitation is extended to all students to be involved in readings and prayers at this Mass. Volunteers please give names to Fr.Joe or Fr.O’Rourke immediately.

Revision Course: An intensive four week revision course for Leaving Cert students will be run in Gortnahoe N.S. commencing on Monday next May 9th. from 7.30 to 8.0. The course is confined to Leaving Cert Higher and Lower Level Maths. Please text name and level to 087 1482056 before this Sunday May 8th.A minimum donation of 5 Euro per session.  All proceeds going to St.Vincent de Paul.

First Thursday: Glengoole- Mass in Latin at 7.p.m. First Friday Mass in Glengoole at 7.p.m. and Gortnahoe at 8.p.m.

Play at Kilcooley Church: A fund raising event has been organised for this Friday May 6th at 8.30.p.m. in Kilcooley Church. This play “Redemption Song” is a new play from Mend and Makedo Theatre Co. written and performed by John Mackeenna. Proceeds will go towards community projects. Tickets 10Euro.
