She was highly regarded in the Garda College where she was employed as a cleaner for some years.

Nora was a deeply religious lady who attended daily Mass and then visited the cemetery to pray for those gone before her.

She loved bingo and a game of cards and for many years after Mass on Saturday nights she went with her sister Lizzie to the music sessions in Templemore Arms Hotel. You daren’t sit in their seat! She and Dan Ward were great friends and flowers were always presented to Nora at midnight on New Year’s Eve to celebrate her birthday. She enjoyed that gesture so much.

During her five years in Pattersons she had lots of people calling to say hello, but she looked forward especially to the visits of her long time friend Cis Curley.

She was a lovely lady who enjoyed life to the full. She loved all her nieces, nephews and godchildren – and they in turn loved her as much.

She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of her company.

Sincere sympathy is extended to her sisters Lizzie and Johanna, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will love her forever.

Nora’s remains were removed from Grey’s Funeral Home to the Church of the Sacred Heart Templemore. There was a large attendance at her Requiem Mass which was celebrated by Canon Everard. She was then laid to rest beside her beloved Roger in the local cemetery.

May She Rest In Peace.
