Autumn in Connemara

All roads lead to the West this coming weekend for the 15th annual Autumn Charity Challenge in aid of visually impaired people and a respite home for North Tipperary. All 120 places are now filled for this ever popular event on what should be a great weekend in the 4* Station House Hotel, which is located in the lovely setting of Clifden. There is a walking programme for all fitness levels, which has been organised by John O’Dwyer and is being led by an experienced team of leaders drawn from the Mid-tipp Hillwalkers group. With well over a hundred booked in, we are looking forward to good walking and a good time afterwards. Please note that because of this event, THERE WILL BE NO ORGANISED WALK FROM CASHEL THIS SUNDAY (October 20TH).Queries about the event to Michael Sutton 086 4009989.

Last Sunday, Josephine Tobin led the walk from Cashel taking in a circuit of Lake Muskry in the west Galtees. Despite very poor visibility we had a very enjoyable walk.
