Our U.21s made it two wins from two as they defeated Golden in Dundrum on Sunday last.

The game was very even in the opening half with both sides struggling to take a stranglehold. However it was all one in the second half as Cashel soon found their rhythm. The forwards in particular spearheaded by Dylan Fitzell clicked and added an impressive 4-6 to their halftime haul of 1-10 to run out convincing winners. This group is progressing nicely and with Clonoulty up next Saturday this will offer an opportunity to lock horns with the favourites for the competition. Kevin O Leary, Cormac Ryan, Fionnan Ryan, Dylan Fitzell, Jonathan Walsh and Michael McDermott deserve special mention. Team: Owen Quirke, Paddy Morrissey, Kevin O Leary, Cormac Ryan, Michael K O Dwyer, Simon Delaney (0-2), Conor Devitt, Fionnan Ryan, Jonathan Grogan (0-7), James Cummins, Dylan Fitzell (1-3), Robert Anglim, Jonathan Walsh (1-1), Gearoid Slattery (0-1), Michael McDermott (2-1).

Subs: Padriag O Donoghue (1-0), Niall Fitzgerald (0-1), Daniel Bowes, Eoghan Ryan and Thomas Grogan.

Our U13 Footballers recorded a tremendous victory in the U.13 Garda Cup Cup football Final defeating Galtee Rovers 3-10 to 2-04 in a brilliant final. This win goes some way in making up for a series of final defeats for our U14’s this season and didn’t those lads deserve this victory. The entire team and subs played their part with each player giving it 100%.

Our U8s travelled to Oulart A Ballagh of Wexford to contest a Tournament comprising of the cream of U8 teams from all over Ireland. Cashel were pitted into a tough group comprising of De La Salle, Oulart A Ballagh and O’Loughlin Gaels. But this determined bunch of emerging talent got stuck right in and disposed of the the opposition to make it into the Semi final where they once again played hosts Oulart a Ballagh in a titanic encounter. The lads dug in deep to make it through to the final where they would meet Dublin team, Kilmacud Crokes. Andrew Irwin, Oisin O Donoghue, Anthony Walsh and Lee O’ Riordan were notable. West U.21 A Hurling: Cashel KC Vs Clonoulty in Dundrum October 19 at 4pm.
