Pat Deegan, from Bearfield, Ennis, Co. Clare who died recently was a native of Templemore. Son of the late Tommy and Peg Deegan, Main Street, Pat died in Galway Clinic on April 7th last.

Pat was educated in Flannins College and went on to a career in Bank of Ireland, working in branches in O’Connell Street Ennis, Shannon Airport, and Tipperary Town. He was an active member of Ennis Golf Club, and held the office of both Captain and President of the club. His other pastimes included Fly Fishing and Snooker. Ever since he was a boy in Templemore Pat had a passion for model aeroplanes. He made many different models in his youth which he hung from his bedroom ceiling - it was a hobby he carried into adulthood.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Pats friends, and his colleagues from both Bank of Ireland and Ennis Golf Club attended his removal in large numbers at the Funeral Parlour in Ennis. His remains were removed to Little Island in Cork for cremation.

Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Bernadette, son Brian, sisters Maura and Kathleen, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law Donie, sister-in-law Eileen, relatives and many friends.
