Inter County Challenge - Tipperary played Galway on last Sunday in Cloughjordan in a Senior challenge game to raise funds for the Thomas MacDonagh Heritage Centre. Despite the early start at 12 noon there was a large attendance at the game. Both teams were almost at full strength in view of their upcoming provincial championships. Tipperary led for most of the game and in an exciting finish Galway rallied to get a draw. The final score was Tipperary 2-18, Galway 1-21. The match was refereed by Brain Gavin from Offaly.

Community Games - Cloughjordan Community Games Athletic events will take place in the G.A.A. field on this Monday, 3rd June at 6pm. There will be events for those aged 6 to 16.

Hurling - Best of luck to our three local players who are part of the Tipperary U/21 hurling panel who play Limerick on this Friday, 31st May in Thurles in the Munster semi-final. Niall O’Meara (Captain), Justin Cahill and Thomas Cleary are the three Kilruane MacDonaghs players on the panel.

Kilruane MacDonaghs Junior ‘A’ hurlers were beaten by Moneygall in the league and the Kilruane MacDonaghs Senior hurlers beat Drumcullen in a challenge game on Sunday last.

Ardcroney Mass Rock - Last Sunday, Mass was celebrated at the Penal Mass rock in the grounds of Ardcroney Church. Parishioners assembled at Kilruane and Cloughjordan Churches at 1pm and walked to Ardcroney church where Mass was celebrated at the Penal Mass Rock at 3pm. After the Mass refreshments were served in Ardcroney Hall.

Collection - The annual collection to help support and finance sick and seriously ill pilgrims on this years Killaloe Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will be held this week at all Masses in the parish.
