Tea-Dance – Next tea-dance in the Resource Centre on next Saturday, 1st June with music by the lovely ‘Castle Trio’ with special spot prizes on the night. Teas deserts and all kind of goodies served at 11 p.m. so be sure and in time for the tea anyway.
Sincere Sympathy – To the Costello family and extended family on the death of their uncle John, who died in England on Thursday, 16th May. May Jesus have mercy on his dear soul.
Tidy Towns- At this present time towns and villages are been judged so please keep up the good work each Tuesday night and help with the village clean up and also help your neighbour if possible. Anybody with spare outdoor paint could leave it into the Fás office, as it would be put to good use, to help improve our village. Thanks for that same.
Ayle N.S. – The Board of Management of the school would like to thank all who supported and helped out in any way for the Fun Run/Walk last Sunday in Ayle. It was a great success. Mile buiochas.
Cappawhite N.S. - A used clothing collection will take place in Cappawhite N.S. this week. Items such as shoes, household linens and clothes can be dropped to the school up to 9.30 a.m. on Monday May 27th. Work has begun on the walking/athletics track in the school grounds. This facility will be available for use from September 2013.

U/12 ‘B’ - Boys Football Co. Final, Cappawhite 2-03, Clonmel Óg 5-08. The Cappawhite U/12 footballers travelled to Holycross on Monday, 20th May last to contest the county final. This bunch of lads have shown great committment to this team and they deservedly reached the county final, the first for the club at this age group for a long time. Clonmel won the toss and played with the aid of a strong breeze. The cappa lads defended as best they could but this clonmel outfit took full advantage and clocked up 3-07 in the first half. With the wind advantage after the break Cappawhite came out a different team and showed a dogged determination not to go down without a fight. They banged in 2-02 but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. You did us proud and it is a great achivement to have won the West and reached the county final. Now there still is the hurling championship to look forward to. Thanks to all who travelled to support the team. U/14 Championship - Boys football West Semi-Final, Cappawhite 0-04, Éire Óg 1-04. The Cappawhite U/14’s travelled to Sologhead to contest the West semi-final on Friday evening last. The Cappawhite team lead at the break 2 points to no score. There was nothing between these two teams. Éire Óg however pulled back 1-04 in the second half while Cappa could only notch up 2 points.
