The organising committee must be extremely happy with the turn out at the St Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday last. The day was a cold one with just a shower or two. Congratulations to Grand Marshal Michael McCullagh who performed his duties impeccably.

The fancy dress items, groups and schools were well represented and eager to share some of the prize money on offer. And of course we had our own Tomas Mac Donagh Pipe Band, the backbone of the parade every year. The committee are delighted with the large number of people who gathered on the parade route and are appreciative of the support every year as it is always a fine boost to the economy of the town. They thank especially the many volunteers who on the day which helped in the smooth running of the event.
