Kelly’s “Sniping”

Dear Editor, Instead of Minister Kelly sniping at Deputy Coonan and Lowry regarding the bed issue at The Hospital of the Assumption he would be better off showing himself around Thurles and helping to bring some decent industries that will give employment to people from Thurles and surrounding areas. “Thurles is Dying a Slow Death”.

Dear Editor,

We know that Deputies Coonan and Lowry are past their sell by date, it looks like you are not too far behind them Minister.

Farmers Should Donate Hay

Dear Editor,

Reading the classified advts. every week I notice with amazement how many people are advertising hay and silage for sale. At a time when there is woeful neglect and mistreatment of horses all over the place, could I suggest that each of those farmers “Donate” just one bale each to the animal sanctuary and let them in turn arrange to give it to any poor animal that is hungry. It would be a huge gesture and it would make a massive difference. Surely one bale wouldn’t be missed and think of the benefits it would be to animal welfare groups who are doing their best with limited resources.

Thanking you,

A concerned animal lover.

Rearcross,

Co. Tipperary.
