The Late Bridie Campion - The death occurred peacefully on Saturday, 16th March at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home of Bridie Campion of Cuffsboro, Clough. She was a very quiet and gentle lady who was also very friendly and caring. Bridie is very sadly mourned by her sorrowing sister, Sr. Kathleen, sister-in-law Mary, her niece Helen and her husband Seán, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing was at her residence in Cuffsboro. Removal took place on Monday, 18th March to St. Canice’s Church, Clough. Requiem Mass was celebrated and followed by burial in Ballacolla cemetery. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Bad Weather - St. Patrick’s Day brought us the coldest spell of weather we had for many years. Several visitors came to attend the Parade in Durrow which was excellent but marred by the extreme cold. There was a wonderful turnout and all stood out to view the parade but very quickly made a dash for their cars and shops.
