Our Lady’s Templemore School News

For the Harty Cup team there was little rest over the Christmas period. Their intensive programme of preparation for the quarter –finals of the competition continued over the holidays and included a number of very useful challenge games. We wish the team and mentors Mr. Tom Byrnes and Mr. Martin Burke all the best against Midleton C.B.S on Wednesday next.

Tipp vs Offaly at Templemore Town Park

Today Sunday Our Lady’s hosts the Tipperary Senior hurling team at the town park where they will play Offaly in a challenge game as part of their preparation for the upcoming season. With a number of past-pupils in the reckoning for places on the panel this year, there is bound to be a lot of interest in the game. The throw in is at 2pm. Admission is €10 for adults. Students and OAPs, €5. Proceeds will go to fund the school’s extensive games’ programme.

French Trip

On February 21st eight students of French at Our Lady’s will travel with Ms. Harding to the French town of Prémilhat. Préhilhat is twinned with Templemore and there have been regular cultural exchanges between the two towns in recent years. The students will be hosted by French families and look forward to the opportunity to immerse themselves in French culture and to improve their spoken French. All concerned are looking forward to the trip.
