Playground - Our recent fundraising “do” in Coffey’s Lounge, Stouke, Rossmore was a huge success. With the venue packed by 10.30pm we knew it was shaping up to be a great night. Already incredibly supported via advance ticket sales, many people arrived to buy tickets on the door, with “keep the change” an oft-repeated phrase. Music on the night was by Matty Forrestal and Paudie Coen and the guys were amazing. They entertained from the off and the dance floor was hopping all night. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Matty and Paudie; the many generous sponsors who provided spot-prizes for our raffle; Martin and Gerrardine Coffey; all who sold tickets on our behalf and, of course, all who supported us and bought tickets.
Our next venture is already nearing completion – a calendar featuring all the children across the three schools, pre-schools and younger, photographed in groups in the month of their birth, with the scene dressed accordingly. Calendars will be printed and ready for distribution during November. They will be available for purchase through the children’s parents only. So if you’re a Grandparent, Aunt, Uncle, God-parent, First Cousin (once removed!) of a child in the parish – guess what you’re getting for Christmas!!!
