Minor Hurling - On Wednesday next, August 22nd Clonakenny Moneygall will play Upperchuch Drombane in their final Minor Hurling game in the league section. This game is fixed for Clonakenny at 7 p.m.
Intermediate Hurling - On Sunday evening last Clonakenny travelled to Littleton to play Moyle Rovers in the County Intermediate Hurling League. This was a must win game for Clonakenny and a game they had to win by a big margin to reach the knock out stages so the lads put in a very determined performance and won on a scoreline of Clonakenny 3-21 Moyle Rovers 0-7. They have now qualified for the Semi Final of this competition.
In the Mid Intermediate Hurling Championship Clonakenny will play Gortnahoe Glengoole in the Semi Final. This game will take place on the weekend of the 25/26th August. More details next week.
Junior Football - Clonakenny have now qualified for the Mid Tipp Junior ‘A’ Football Semi Final. This game will take place this weekend. Check Mid Fixtures for details.
Junior Hurling - Due to the number of players that have been promoted to the Intermediate Panel, Clonakenny have been put int he unfortunate position that they had to withdraw from the Junior ‘B’ Hurling Championship. We had a good run in the League and Championship to date and great credit is due to the players and the management team of Peter Byrne, Michael Carroll and Eamon Greed.
Hard Luck - Hard Luck to Pa and Willie Ryan who were members of the Tipperary U/21 Team that were defeated by Clare in the last minute of the Munster final last week.
Tipp v Kilkenny - Tickets ordered for this game must be collected and paid for by this Friday.
