Irish Kidney Association - The Irish Kidney Association held a Church gate collection last weekend and the total amount collected was E365.45. Many, many thanks to all those people who contributed.
Sympathy - We extend the sympathy of the community to Mrs. Maura Carey, Loughane, Templederry on the death last week of Maura’s father, Mr. Danny Lynch which occurred in Cork. Our Sympathy is also extended to her husband Din and family.
We also extend our sympathy to the relatives of John O Brien, Traverstown who was laid to rest during the week.
Fundraising - Fundraising for the Community Centre in Latteragh has been ongoing over the last few months with the sale of timber. By bag, car trailer etc etc. Members of the committee have been busy cutting and chopping timber all over the area. This continues and with the winter approaching the demand for timber will be increasing. Anyone with old trees that they would like to donate, please contact any member of the committee.
Templederry Childcare - Templederry Childcare Centre will open on Wednesday, August 29th at 7.30 a.m. This centre will cater for full day care also care for before and after school times. For further details please contact Aine on (087) 6393130.
Just to say thank you - Rosemary Kennedy, Foilnamuck would like to say a sincere thank you to everyone who gave her such generous support during her fundraising. She has now completed two weeks of an eight week programme in Chaing Mai, Northern Thialand working with underpriviliiged children and those with special needs.
Mini Marathon - Register now for the Tipperary Womens Mini Marathon on www.tippminimarathon.ie. Charity Cycle Event - A charity cycle event will take place on the 15th September in aid of Killenaive National School “Solas” Autism Spectrum Disorder Unit starting from the Main Square in Borrisoleigh at 1 p.m. (50 miles) and 2 p.m. (25 miles).
