A Public Meeting with a view to breathing new life into Templemore & its environs will take place in The Templemore Arms Hotel on Thursday 2nd Feb. at 8.00pm. This meeting is open to everyone and all are welcome to come and air their views.
The purpose of the meeting is to try and start up a Local Heroes Campaign in Templemore similar to that which took place in Drogheda before Christmas.
The Local Heroes initiative is an RTE concept and is championed by Senator Fergal Quinn. It involves the people in a town coming together as a group and fighting back against everything that seems to be gone wrong. We in Templemore need to turn the negative into positives, talk about ‘what-if’ and in the process rejuvenate our lovely town and set about creating jobs!
A public meeting gives everyone a chance to air their views – hopefully concentrating on areas like tourism, innovation, enterprise and all suggestions and ideas however small, wild or impossible will be taken on board and explored.
Local Heroes is a voluntary initiative
